A battle is raging in the electronics world and the war of LED vs LCD TVs looks like it may have a new champion. Let’s look at the contenders. In this corner we have the reigning champion LCD TVs that have shown they have what it takes to survive in the ring of modern electronics. They are lightweight, offer great features, and are cost effective and affordable. In the other corner we have the contender; LED TVs. They weigh considerably less than the LCD TVs, up to half as much; they have a higher contrast ratio and refresh rate which leads to a crisper, clearer picture; they are healthier for the environment by using less energy and being able to emit mercury that all LCDs still have in them.
