Refurbished LCD TVRefurbished LCD TVs allow you to save a lot of money on quality televisions.  Essentially all refurbished means is that the TV has been fixed.  Yes, this does mean at one time it was broken, but having fixed quite a few TVs myself, typically the problem is small and easily fixable, not always the case but many times it is a quick fix that will last for the long term.  In some cases refurbished LCD TVs are televisions that were sent back to the factory under a warranty and the consumer was simply sent a new one while the old one was fixed.  Anyone with a little bit of technological and electronics savvy can refurbish a television, but this does not mean everyone should.  In most cases refurbished televisions offer a great opportunity for the consumer to get a great price on a high quality television.

LCD vs. Plasma – Weighing the Options

There are some obvious differences in the relation to LCD vs. Plasma TV brands and models and each offer some positive aspects that the other does not. The same can be said however for the negative aspects as well. Different brands and models of plasma and LCD televisions can change the outcomes but we will discuss the general aspects that tend to be shared throughout the television industry as far as it concerns Plasma vs. LCD. The most obvious issue for anyone who has ever tried to pick up these televisions is the weight. Plasmas are extremely heavy compared to LCD televisions that are actually quite light even in the larger sizes. If you plan on putting your television on a sturdy platform and won’t be moving too often then it’s not too much of a problem. Of course one of the joys in having a flatter thinner television is being able to put it on the wall.
